Hello, I'm Sophie. I've been making sustainable, minimalist jewellery for over a decade.

Oh My Clumsy Heart started in 2012 when I realised how hard it was to find jewellery that was both ethical and affordable. So I decided to make it myself.

I started with a small collection of jewellery essentials, crafted from recycled metals and responsibly sourced materials. Every piece is handmade in Birmingham, UK, and sold directly from my studio—free from retail mark-ups.

While the collection has grown, my approach has stayed the same: sustainability, fair pricing, and timeless jewellery full of personality.

Oh My Clumsy Heart is still a small, online-only brand, creating minimalist pieces designed to be layered, mixed, matched, or worn solo. Because great jewellery should feel good in every way.

After launching Oh My Clumsy Heart, I quickly realised it wasn’t just jewellery that needed a rethink—it was my entire wardrobe.

The more I learned about the environmental impact of fast fashion, the harder it was to ignore. So, I made a choice: I quit fast fashion and embraced a simple, more sustainable way of living.

As I created a wardrobe and lifestyle that reflected my values, I felt inspired to help others do the same. I became a freelance writer, exploring how small, intentional changes can have a meaningful impact.

For over a decade, I’ve been crafting capsule wardrobes and writing style guides that help others curate versatile outfits with fewer, better pieces—because dressing thoughtfully doesn’t just simplify your life, it’s kinder to the planet too.
